SarcomAI L3 is automatic analysis software, to assess body composition on CT images at the third lumbar (L3) level. SarcomAI was developed by radiologist and medical information expert Alain Viddeleer, MD, PhD at the University Medical Center Groningen, Groningen, the Netherlands. This software is the successor of the SarcoMeas analysis software, used in several publications, now with an integrated state-of-the-art deep learning AI model (hence its name, which is short for SarcoMeas AI) for the automatic segmentation of abdominal muscle and fat. SarcomAI L3 allows for batch processing large numbers of files at once, enabling large cohort studies that were practically impossible before.
